A place for castle lovers and Shakespeare lovers as well. You admire the beautifully maintained chambers and out of the blue come across prince Hamlet leading a conversation with his mother... or suddenly stop at the doorstep hesitating if you should enter, being afraid not...More

The outside is photogenic and the Pelli defenses are great to look at from the towers, but the inside is pretty sparse and the (free, wifi or Bluetooth) audio tour is similarly short. Good for kids— lots of open space and not much content to...More

A lovely place to visit and steeped in so much history and the story for Shakespeare. The location is ideal for the walk and sightseeing and a UNESCO site.
