Inside this totally impressive church (domes, towers - the whole nine yards!) the bury all the danish kings/queens/nobles/heroes - dozens and dozens of them - to the latest dynasty! interesting to walk around and read about those historical figures

Their are so many Kings buried here that a guide will be very helpful. While it takes some time you will get a great sense of the countries history with a tour.

We were in town for the Viking Muesem and this was a bonus! Very interesting church with lots of tombs from past royality! Easy to find and justa short walk from the Viking Museum. Do them both if in town!

The church is outstanding but has a ticket of 60 krona so if you want to see the burial place of all Danish kings and queens then visit.

This Cathedral is wonderful: gorgeous, white vaulted ceilings, lovely marble-tiled floors, amazing carvings on walls, intricately carved & delicately worked coffins of Kings & Queens, and so much more

The tour of this cathedral was included with our Scandinavian tour. It has been the burial site for Danish monarchs since the 15th century and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The crypts are simply amazing and we found them all to be art forms....More

The cathedral dominates the square an is very impressive. Contains the tombs of many kings and queens and is well worth a visit.

In Roskilde I would budget about three hours at the Viking centre (including walking there for the station) about an hour at the Domkirke- another 90minutes for lunch and waking back to the station so....arrive in Roskilde... More
