I started on my solo hike in Abisko and branched off to Vistas from Alesjaure and then hooked back into the Kundsleden trail at Salka via Nallo, and then onto Singi and Kebnekaise mountain station. The trail was simply amazing, and the folk one meets along the way was very diverse. The after dinner hut discussions were funny as was... More

My boyfriend and I hiked this short part of the Kungsleden in August. It was amazing. Green neverending landscapes, fresh and pristine water to drink, very friendly people along the way. I never felt this way, I was just happy walking, enjoying the silence and admiring the breathtaking landscape. Initially I thought it would be challenging for me, but I... More

We hiked part of the Kungsleden in this years Fjällräven Classic. The nature is absolutely beautiful. You can drink the water from all of the streams, sometimes spot some reindeers and walk for hours and hours. It is not a very strenuous hiking, most of the hike is quite flat.

The only bad thing is the mosquitos. The views and quietness are awesome. The people friendly! If you go in july be prepared for warm weather and bugs! There is plenty of water. The route is well marked and the staff is helpfull! It's really a great place to get some peace.

Abisko to Kebnekaise. What an adventure! Fantastic back to basics hike. Not for those with dodgy knees or hips(too many stones/rocks). Challenging but manageable. Superb huts, hosts and saunas. Lots of work - chopping, sawing wood m, collecting water. But amazing scenery and the opportunity to see herds of reindeers running free. Met fantastic people en route. Loved every minute.... More

Taking the Fjallraven Classic hike from Nikkaluotka to Abisko this past fall was an absolute mesmerizing hike for all calibers of hikers. It has its fair share of challenges to overcome, whether it be the constant changing valley weather, to the aggressively rocky terrain as you get closer to the Tjaka Fjallstation, you will be overcome with such astonishment as... Just a very short and limited part of the Kungsleden mountain trail, but soo beautiful. Very easy also for hiking beginners with good service at the different huts along the trail.

I walked the first section of the Kungsleden from Abisko to Nikkaluokta, staying in STF huts. This is a superb walk. Not too physically demanding but not a doddle either. Great scenery, with huge mountains, reindeer and majestic passes. The daily distances range from 12 to 25 km and I carried 13 kg, which was about enough. The weather was... More

We hiked the northernmost section of the Kungsleden in June 2016 (Abisko-Kebnekaise). The hiking was fantastic with beautiful scenery every day. The mountains of the Swedish north are so remote that you can easily forget your day to day life. The STF huts are excellent - the larger ones with shops/saunas are amazing, and a very welcome sight at the... More

We trekked from Abisko, staying at Abiskojaure, Alesjaure, Salka, Kebnekaise. The trails up until the split near Singi (if you're heading to Kebnekaise) are very clearly marked and you really don't need a map; the summer trail to Kebnekaise was harder to follow, though not helped by some pretty poor weather. The STF huts are fine and fairly comfortable, though... More
