The ruins is steep and rocky under foot so people with walking difficultly will struggle to get over some low walls. The perimeter of the castle gives a very good view around the island. Closed on Monday. Open on Tuesday and Sunday from 8.30am to...More

Amazing views of the surrounding area from on top of this castle! It's like an unspoilt meadow up there with so many different plants & bugs. Butterflies, dragonflies, beetles, spiders. Definitely worth a look & it's free to enter!

Easy drive up to the ruins and well worth it for the views when you get there. Intriguing ruins to wander around with the history and story's they hold. Gates not open every day or all year. (June to September) Treat yourself to a visit...More

A must see, the views are just amazing. Park on the outskirts and walk up as the road is usually full of coaches. Make sure you have your camera you will not be disappointed.

Easy the park on the road outside, but watch out for opening days as it is run by part-time volunteers. Sun hats on hot days are essential as it gets very hot up there. The Castle is used as a fire watching tower, so expect...More

Hi. I'm staying in Lassi and have booked a table for dinner at Il Borgo. Trying to decide what time I should book a taxi for as the village sounds charming but hard to get a sense of how many hours I could spend there without getting severe deja vu. Any thoughts v welcome
