If in Helsingborg this is more or less mandatory it takes around 20 minutes then you are in Denmark, spend a couple of hours in Helsinör and enjoy the danish hospitality and then back to Sweden and Helsingborg...

We were staying in Helsingborg for several days to visit relatives, and they suggested we plan a day trip to explore Copenhagen. It couldn't have been easier to purchase both ferry and train tickets at Helsingborg's central terminal. The ferry ride was smooth and scenic, and delivered us right to the train connection. After a train ride of perhaps 40... More

I wasn't paid by a client on time so I had limited funds available on my debit card but I'd CORRECTLY calculated I was OK to cover the costs of driving from Northern Europe to the UK via Hook of Holland. That was until I bought a ticket from a Scandlines ticket machine for the Roedby to Puttgarden trip. The... More

frequent departures, reasonable price and roomy ferries, the "tax-free" has some good offers, but most is horribly expensive.

It's an amazing ride back and forth from Helsingborg to Helsingor of 20 mins. In summers you can go out to the deck and feel the sea. It's beautiful!

The ferry is always on time (not like the train that has often delays ) ,and is crossing even in stormy weather . It is very comfortable if you just want to visit Helsingor ,or need to reach the Copenhagen airport .The train from Helsingor to Copenhagen leaves from the harbour , often ,and in time . The crossing is... More

Easy twenty minute crossing from Helsingborg to Elsinore in a comfortable, warm ship. Frequent crossings means you never have to rush to catch the boat. Buying tickets is easy. You can get a joint ticket for the trip plus a visit to Louisiana Art Gallery by bus. Lots to buy onboard. Go on foot or with with vehicle.

I guess there must be some attempt to disincentivise people taking vehicles based on the cost for a trip from Denmark to Sweden. But the ferry got us across the very short journey with enought time to pop up into the cafe and pick up a coffee - and we didn't sink, so that must be something.
