Sofiero Palace was, until the 1970s, a summer residence for Swedish royalty. The magnificent heritage of thousands of rhododendrons, beds, borders and kitchen gardens is carefully tended by a team of dedicated experts. In 2010, Sofiero was voted Europe’s Best Park.Sofiero is situated just north of the town of Helsingborg in southern Sweden. Interesting exhibitions in the palace and a variety of exciting events and activities in the beautiful park and gardens are some of the things you can look forward to when planning your visit. The season, during which the palace, shops, restaurant and café are open for visitors, starts March 31 and ends in September. However, you are welcome to visit Sofiero for a guided tour, a walk in the park and a chance to enjoy the view over the strait of Öresund to Denmark at any time of the year.

Its very nice, with some beautiful surroundings. You have to have some comfy shoes as it is most like a walk in woods/ park. Totally worth it in a nice sunny day.

It's always a pleasure to come here and walk around the many gardens. This year, the spring had a late start and the Rhododendrons were just starting to bloom after just a few days of warm sun in the south facing areas.

This place is a place worth visiting on several occasions during the year just to see the park during different seasons. There is an amazing rhododendron valley (which I've seen before) and that place is probably the best part so a visit during the flowering...More

Hi! Helsingborg is my hometown (half way to Sofiero - Drottninggatan) and I now live in Malmo! I'd say it would take roughly 30 - 40 minutes to walk...the bus will go there every 30 minutes...make sure the bus goes along the... More
