Wonderful gem in Helsingborg

You should not miss a visit here when in Helsingborg. It's very close to everything in the city center. The church is really beautiful and offer some really interesting stories.

One of my personal highlights of Helsingborg. This church is packed with hidden gems; wonderful model ships, incredible chandeliers, an amazing pulpit and the most superlative altar screen. Unfortunately the screen is currently being restored but a model is in place to show you what you're missing. It's an wonderful piece of art and the church should be part of... More

This is a delightful church in the centre of town near the fort steps. The inside is very impressive with a more modern look, but elegant stained glass and very detailed and elaborate wood carvings. It is well worth a look inside.

This Church, situated in the city center, is surrounded by other buildings. The exterior appearance is a bit commonplace, perhaps because it is in dark brown (or dark red?), which does really catch the eye. There is however a beautiful statue standing in front of the entrance. The interior is well decorated, but not in a luxurious style that places... More

If you visit Karnan, you should visit this church for the completion of your trip. The church is small but beautiful, in the middle of a shopping street, but calm and peaceful. When we entered inside, there was a kid's Baptism going on. We could witness some great sculptures inside including the model of a ship hanging inside. It is... More

Mariakyrkan is located in the heart of city centre and stone throw away from the Kärnan. This huge gothic church was completed around 1410. The church is built with bricks but some sandstones from a 12th century church were incorporated in it. A chronological history of church hangs inside the main entrance. The altar screen is beautiful and dates from... More

Small, Lutheran church located in the heart of the city. Entrance is free. Its the city's oldest church and is open for visitors on weekdays from 8am to 6pm and 9pm to 4pm on weekends. They have two organs, an old organ from the 1800's and a choir organ which is used during church service.
