I visit Sweden once a month and every time my partner and I come to Djurgarden. It is a beautiful walk where we can spend time with each other in the beauty of nature. I love this place and make sure that we pop into Rosendals for Fika and to sample their range of teas. It's a really nice end... More

Rented a bike and rode around this lovely, quiet, green corner of Stockholm. Lots of lonely areas and plenty of popular diversions to enjoy too.

A lovely park to wander through taking it a beautiful combination of water, greenery and rocks - with the odd tasteful cafe and restaurant too!

Lovely area with places to swim in the summer, run, play areas, a cycle path all the way round, museums, cafes, bar, lunch, dinner. Perfect place for a first date or to power walk with your friends

Djurgården is one of the largest most beautiful parks I have visited in the world. You can take long walks and different paths each time. For the avid bird watcher you can find type of birds that you rarely see in other parts of Stockholm or Sweden for that matter. Besides the bird sanctuary there are even cows and horses.... More

The city's green lung has something for everybody, from young to old. Zoo, Amusement park, Restaurants, The channel, promenades, art galleries and a preserved cultural heritage. Lovely!

Djurgarden is a really cool place. It reminded me of Hyde Park in London. It has lovely scenery and paved roads so you can comfortably make your way around the island.

You can spend all day in Djurgarden, many even more than one with how many things there are to see in it. Definitely want to come check it out, at least to see the Vasa.

Staying in Djurgarden & Djurgardsbrunn

Neighbourhood Profile
Djurgarden & Djurgardsbrunn
The island of Djurgården and its northern mainland extension, Djurgårdsbrunn, impress with a mix of nature and an abundance of museums, while being located in walking distance to Stockholm’s city center. Djurgården not only invites visitors to take endless walks through a beautiful park landscape without having to leave the city, but also offers an incredible range of entertainment facilities, such as an open air museum which specializes in the Swedish way of life pre-industrialization, the renowned Vasa Museum with its legendary sailing ship, and Sweden’s most famous amusement park Gröna Lund, which is more than a 100 years old.
