A wonderful park for longer or shorter walks. Nice surroundings and easy to find nice places for a lunch or for coffee breaks.

Can't imagine what it would look like in summer. Either way, the view was really good and it was a good walk.

Spent a few hours walking and exploring the park area. Although winter and cold was still a lovely place to visit. In the summer I imagine it will be spectacular. Highly recommend!!

We took the ferry from Gamla Stan over to Djurgården, a beautiful green Stockholm island that is home to several of the city’s top museums and attractions (including my favorite, the Vasa), waking paths & gardens as well as cafés and restaurants. Note: you can reach Djurgården utilizing several modes of transportation - on foot, Djurgården ferry from Gamla Stan/Slussen,... More

Djurgarden is at least for me a special place to visit. The terrain makes it different from the center of Stockholm or close surroundings even though Djurgarden is just around the bend. The high concentration fo museums and attractions makes the place an amazing spot to spend days of your vacation both with and without kids (mainly in the summer).... More

You would walk in this garden all day like me. It is something like you are isolated in somewhere which is peaceful and calming. You can be refreshed by scene across the lake. At the end you'll see a marina where you should have coffee and eat some desserts at this place and just enjoy the silence and that moment... More

Staying in Djurgarden & Djurgardsbrunn

Neighbourhood Profile
Djurgarden & Djurgardsbrunn
The island of Djurgården and its northern mainland extension, Djurgårdsbrunn, impress with a mix of nature and an abundance of museums, while being located in walking distance to Stockholm’s city center. Djurgården not only invites visitors to take endless walks through a beautiful park landscape without having to leave the city, but also offers an incredible range of entertainment facilities, such as an open air museum which specializes in the Swedish way of life pre-industrialization, the renowned Vasa Museum with its legendary sailing ship, and Sweden’s most famous amusement park Gröna Lund, which is more than a 100 years old.
