We were keen to do a tour of this palace, which apparently is a litle gem. Unfortunately these tours are only from mid June to mid August, so being here on 22 August was already out of season. We had to do with a stroll...More

With a pleasant walk in Djurgarden park you can easily reach this wonderful palace, built in 1820s. Our tourist guide Katia was very good and gave us a lot of interesting information about the place. Absolutely recommended!!!

It works only in summer months and can only be visited as part of the excursion group. The appearance of this beautiful palace, which is located on the island of Djurgården, has not been changed since the time of Charles 14 Juhan.

It's slightly hidden away in Djurgarden but this summer palace is most certainly worth seeking out. Wonderfully restored interiors, mostly from the Empire period but some from later in the 19th century, with the overwhelming sense being simply of colour. The central room on the...More
