THE WORLD'S ORIGINAL ICE BAR ICEBAR by ICEHOTEL Stockholm is the world's first permanent bar made of ice, built in 2002. Every year in April, the interior and design is renewed with fresh ice from Torne River and skilful ice sculptors from ICEHOTEL in Jukkasjärvi in the very north of Sweden. ICEBAR by ICEHOTEL Stockholm is open all year and has a constant temperature of -7 degrees celsius (19 degrees fahrenheit). The interior is made out of sculpted ice from the arctic Torne River, just like the glasses your drink is served out of. The bar has room for up to 60 people. The entry fee includes a cocktail and a visit lasts about 40 minutes. Children are welcome, and are served a colourful kids' drink. ICEBAR by ICEHOTEL Stockholm is centrally located on Vasaplan, next door to Stockholm Central Station and the airport shuttle train Arlanda Express. Nordic C Hotel is located in the same building as ICEBAR Stockholm. Since it opened in 2002, the ice bar has become a popular attraction in Stockholm, attracting both tourists and locals who want a slice of the arctic north in downtown Stockholm.

A bit expensive, but fun

It was a bit pricey for what it was. The bar was really small and the vodka drink was a vodka drink. I'm in Stockholm in March. Its cold outside already. I feel like if I bought a bottle of vodka and some juice then sat outside with some music I would be happier. The ice carvings were cool though... More

I thought this was going to be overrated and not worth the money. I was wrong. Had such a great time at the Ice bar. A must do in Stockholm! I wouldn't get more than what's included. Additional drinks are expensive.

Very cold, really cold for my standards. The bar provides gloves and a warmer, nevertheless is a good idea to bring own warm clothes and add whatever they offer. The space is quite small, so there are restrictions on the number os people; must book in advance. As the name implies, the bar is made of ice, seats, countertop, glasses... More

I wanted to visit one of those bars, because I did not get the chance to have a drink at The Abssolut Bar in LOndon. So in my last trip to Stockholm we decided to pay nearly 40 Euros each of us, and have the experience of dressing like a skimo and have a drink in an ice glass. with the ticket... If you are staying at the Hotel you get some discount. Before going inside, you are given a big, super warm coat, with some gloves attached. The bad thing is that not all the coats have these gloves and it gets really difficult to hold your glasses because they are made of ice. Once you are inside, it is nice... More

Hosted an evening(well thirty minutes) for 25 people. Everyone enjoyed it but works out expensive. No discount available for bulk persons!

I loved this place! I was in Stockholm for just one night and it was worth it to have a cocktail there. It's a bit pricey but it's a cold and icy experience:)

Hello everyone! Nothing much to say, but for me it was just the waste of time and money. Not something that you expect from an Ice Bar. It is was empty and honestly kinda boring. Maybe I was there not in the right time, but it was almost 8 PM... This is definitely not one of the best places to... More
