We visited the gardens during autumn times and enjoyed every second of it's beautiful, colorful autumn display. The gardens are located in the outskirts of Stockholm, near the natural history museum. We spent the whole day there so if you love botanical gardens leave enough time to enjoy this beautiful garden and it's surrounding. The edvard Anderson conservatory is wonderful,... More

I hadn't been here in about 15 years. Saw an ad for the Christmas display so decided to spend the 80 kronor and visit. Always enjoyable. Quite a few school groups - hence a bit noisier than I might have liked. It was far too icy to enjoy the outdoor areas. This is a great place to visit on a... More

The garden consists of two oldfashioned, traditional greenhouses, the Victoria house which is a very pretty and romantic roundshaped glasshouse where they keep waterlilies-including the gigantic and reputable amazonica from the Amazon region and lotus flowers and the Edvard Andersson house where they keep plants from different parts of the World, Australia, Africa, Asia and the Mediterran region. It might... More

We love visiting botanical gardens on holiday but these quite literally have the edge because they overlook the sea...also because of the wonderful Old Orangery restaurant where we enjoyed a lovely lunch inside the greenhouse; they even made me a gluten free veggie salad from scratch to accommodate my needs and with no fuss at all (and it was not... I visit the Botanical Gardens in every city I go. This one is very nice, with a unique setting on the the shore of a lake. Highlights are the natural ponds, Japanese and Rock Gardens. A little out of town, good 10 minute walk from the University Metro stop but worth it. Nice cafe with friendly staff and the Victoria... More

Just beyond theNatural History Museum you will find this unassuming oasis of tranquility. Even on a sunny day in summer there were very few visitors. The gardens are free to wander around with some excellent information boards, but the gems are the large glasshouses which have temperatures and humidity set to allow perfect growing of numerous plant species from across...
