The "castle" was closed, lots of kinds around using the WiFi spot, so i cant comment on the content of the museum, but for what i saw...small building, large disappointment. I was expecting a large building that fit in the "Castle" description, but this is just another average building. I passed by it twice without even knowing this is "it".... More

I'm sorry your so disappointed. If we have had the possibility to tell you about the building perhaps you would have a different kind of thoughts. The building is Sweden's oldest private residence. The oldest parts were build 1150! The size of the building depends on that it from the beginning was the home and defense for the Catholic bishop... More

Historical palace situated just neat the famous Linkoping Cathedral. You could see some of the historical artifacts and also can get some ideas of life styles. There is a small shop ad the entrance for you to browse through some merchandise. Need tickets to enter the castle.

Exposition on three floors is full of history about bishops, local Cathedral and castle. My daughter was very interested in museum and she liked welcoming staff in gift shop. Fee 50 SEK/20 SEK (7-18 y.) open daily Tue-Sun 12.00-16.00

Very good displays with information in both English and Swedish. Lots of local history with focus on the history of the bishops and cathedral in Linköping. Friendly staff and a fun gift shop with usual items.

Linköping Castle (and museum) dates from the 12th century, and you can still see a portion of the original wall inside the museum. The town of Linköping was mostly burned in 1700 but the castle remained, one of the few buildings to survive. The exhibits are well done with interesting artifacts I've never seen anywhere else, including medieval vestments, ancient... More

One of the best medieval museums in Sweden! The castle walls hide the katolic bishops home and defense, And the oldest parts of the building is a limestone building from 1149! The museum have fantastic textiles from the catholic period that all was hidden away after the reformation 1527! There also is a nice shop you can't miss!

Expensive admission fee. Most captions are in Swedish and it is a self guided tour. Seeing the evolution of the castle's architecture, religious artifacts from the reformation period, crests, clothing and food was interesting to see.
