beautiful cathedral in beautiful surroundings. As Uppsala has the oldest university in Scandinavia, it is worth a visit.

Beautiful architecture, and fascinating history of royalty long past. Don't forget to visit the upper level of the church to see the stunning architecture, and more interesting artifacts on exhibit. There are also tombs in the lower level of the church that shouldn't be missed....More

Beautiful church, in gotic style, the external is made of red stone, intarnel is characteristcly made of arches and frescoes

The entire area is beautiful by the river looking up at the church. You can then walk past what we believed was the university to the side of the church. Though I recommend watching the sunset on a gorgeous summer day as we did.

I didn't go inside, but being in front of the Gustavianum Museum I couldn't help but notice the outside of this church. Really an imposing figure, a reminder of the influence of Christianity in the Middle Ages even here.
