We visited the botanic gardens in winter so there was really nothing to see in the large outside areas. There are however two buildings with collections of tropical plants which you can visit. The orangery is a big, old peach coloured building with huge windows in the larger part of the gardens. Entry is free, its main hall is full... More

As it could be expected it wasn't open in this time of the year but it was nonetheless disappointing since they seemed like beautiful enough gardens to walk in any time of the year. There's a very nice view of the gardens from the castle from those unfortunate enough to not be able to visit.

The garden has several parts to it. I personally like to go to Tropiska växthuset (A tropical greenhouse).

It is three parts to the botanical gardens, it is the garden, the Linnaeus garden and the museum. It is well worth a stroll at any point of the year.

We had hoped to visit the botanical gardens but they were fenced off for the winter and will reopen in spring 2017 . you can still see the trees and bushes that form the gardens and enjoy watching the occasional hare running across the snow

When we visited the botanical garden it was under reconstruction so it wasn't very exciting. It's also rather small and I have to admit my expectations were higher. It's most likely alot better in spring and summer. As it was when we where there its not worth visiting.

The Botanical Garden is really three: Linnaeus garden (and linnaeus museum), the oldgarden, and the modern, which includes the tropical greenhouse. I didn't visit Linne garden as it was closed for the winter. The other two are a gem of aesthetics and heaven for botanists - either professional or amateurs. The tropical house and the alpine habitat are the most... More

A very nice and quiet place! it is a lovely green place near the city centre about 10 minutes walking from Storatorget. You can relax in a peaceful location near the pound or under the trees and in august you can have some really good apples to eat .
