The Sampo Icebreaker is worth trying once in a life time. Upon boarding the icebreaker, you could have a light buffet breakfast followed by a tour on the icebreaker. Highlight of it was ice swimming whereby you had to wear their floating suit which everyone looked like a lobster floating in the sea surrounded by ice. Great fun although it... More

It is worth to have a lifetime experience with Sampo Icebreaker. When on board the cruise, we will have a cruise tour with tour guide to understand more how the Icebreaker operates and history of the ship. After the tour, we will have lunch at the restaurant. After lunch, we will start an amazing activity which is swimming on the... More

The tour is well organized, everything seems perfect. The only not so good part is the food, but not coming for food anyway.

A trip on the Icebreaker is expensive but worth it, there little chance to get to experience this kind of thing in your life. The actually ice breaking experience was more interesting than I expected and the short tour around the boat. The highlight is obviously the swim in the water which was fun and interesting. Don't be scared of... More

To travel on an ice-breaker into the iced-over Baltic Sea, as it rammed its way through thick ice, was amazing to begin with. But then to alight onto the frozen sea, swim safely in the icy water (suitably attired) and wander around the boat was an unexpected delight. Highly recommended in winter.

We arrived to the icebreaker with snowmobiles(with the amazing Lapland safaries), we embarked on the ship and were soon welcomed by the crew and guide and were provided with the schedule. The guide was very informative, patient and helpful. The soups that were served in the dining hall were very good. Regarding the floating experience, it seems that there are... More

we got up at 0430 am to do this ...but it was SO worth it. The boat is clean and well appointed and the explanations and tours are informative-we had a sunny day and the views were breath taking-we DIDNT go ice swimming-but the people who DID looked like they were having fun
