While it was scenic with all the snow, there wasn't much to do. Maybe January is not the ideal time to visit. Apart from the highlights of the post office where we sent home postcards from and the office where we paid for our passports to be stamped with the Arctic chop, there was not much to see nor do.... I'm sure this place has a very different feeling at Christmas with snow on the ground and lots of children running around. I liked the idea of a special santa stamp going on your mail before posting it there and to meet santa but at this time of year, it's all touristy souvenir shops and restaurants. Hardly anybody around so... More

We did not spend much time here as we did not enjoy the throngs of tourists (mostly Chinese / Korean). The line was too long to meet Santa but it was a nice touch that you can send postcards for the following Christmas. We had already eaten before coming here so we did not need to spend time doing this... More

We parked in the car park, which was free, in our motorhome.... which was quite surprising. However, the village was almost deserted and mainly composed of gift shops with very high prices.... The best bit was the free visit to Santa, there was no one there so we chatted for quite a while, he had an impressive memory, repeating the... More

We spent a day here and it was quite fun. Although some of it is heavily geared to children, my husband and I enjoyed the dog sled rides and snowmobiling a lot.

Just a standard attaction while you are in Rovaniemi. One hour or so is more than enough for taking photos. Good that you can send post cards back home to family and friends in Santa's post office and will receive them about one week's time.

It was a great experience to visit, talk and have a photo with Santa Claus. We found not much services apart from shops at the village. Attractions are limited and expensive.

What can I say, we had an amazing experience in Santa Claus Village. We stayed in 2 cabins connected to each other. It's beautiful! Very warmth and feels like home. We LOVE the Sauna inside our cabin. The staff are very friendly and nice. There's so many activities that you could do here. Everything was perfect. I really recommend you... More
