The museum is closed until a future reopening in the future. As for now there's nothing to visit. I got this information from someone working there that happened to see me.

This is a fantastic exhibition of work by 15-23 year olds. What a great idea! Well done Helsinki! The exhibition finishes in 3 September, I think. Well worth a visit.

This museum primarily shows how the post-impressionist period inspired contemporary Finnish artists. It had a special exhibition on two floors which was closed shortly before our visit. And the museum itself closes in sept 2017 to open in a new building in 2018.

I have visited this museum many times, when they have some special exhibitions. This time I was here to see their own collections. The museum is owned and maintained by the association Föreningen Konstsamfundet. The museum is located in the apartment building Amos Anderson (1878–1961)...More

It was great to visit Popovits exhibition. Carefully made interesting, mostly wooden sculptures. Fine hungrian artist who has stayed a long period in Finland.

Finnish art as collected by the name-giver -- respectable quality, but not really exciting. The museum, which claims to have the largest private collection in Finland, also hosts temporary exhibitions.

I came across one of the most intriguing and creative exhibits ever in a museum. One of the curators has arranged art to depict a fictional murder story that takes place in Helsinki in the 1930s. There is a well written narrative that goes along...More

This is a quite small museum with a relatively conservative collection. Modern art too modern for my taste. Allow two hours.

This museum lets you explore the private collection of a wealthy businessman as well as parts of his apartment with period furniture. For me, the highlight was the chapel with its 15th century religious art. There's also a collection of paintings by 20th century local...More
