Apart from the towering magnificence of this church, just being in the vicinity is peaceful. Great photographic opportunities, yet a serene place to be that offers peace. Wonderful architecture.

After visiting a number of European cities were there was an opulence of gold and paintings it was good to be in a Cathedral that was inviting and without the usual opulence of wealth in gold and paintings. A very y welcoming and peaceful location.

Located in city centre, very big church. Internally all walls are white without any painting except one. Nothing special, no need to visit

Pretty from the outside, especially when we went as it had just snowed! The decor inside is quite modern, which is interesting. Worth popping in as you can't miss it!

This is a beautiful Cathedral to look at from the outside and it is also lovely inside - simple but lovely. Obviously from the outside this is a must-see attraction. I enjoyed sitting at the top of the steps and looking over the square.

Ascending to the summit of what may seem like infinite stairs for little legs paid off with an epic view of Senate square and the city into the distance. We went inside the church to enjoy the history and take a few moments for quiet reflection. Afterwards we stopped on the steps to enjoy a snack and watch the people... More

I first visited Helsinki 14 years ago and this is the place that stuck in my mind I only visited the outside with friends but the Cathedral really stands out. It was a beautiful and crisp winters day so the contrast between the building and the sky was perfect I'll aim to go inside next time
