By its raised position the Dom is one of the first lansmark when you arrive Helsinki by ship. by its shining white facade and the white clean interieur it looks a little bit like a Greek temple and has something soothing. Enjoy the atmosphere especially on the Dom place. The interior is beautiful but not ordinary. Don't miss the seagulls... More

Nice to go and see inside. You can also get a quick view of some part of the city. Close to the harbor, so those arriving by cruise can start their Helsinki trip with this cathedral.

A very imposing cathedral on Senate Square, the heart of Helsinki, and a must see. More impressive from outside than inside however. Immense set of stairs up to it - not so much high as wid!

A beautiful church and a busy tourist destination. We didn't climb the steps up to it but viewed it from the square beneath where there is a large interesting monument. Definitely a place to visit whilst in Helsinki.

Helsinki Cathedral dominates senate square and is a central place for people to meet and enjoy the beauty of this area. Climb the steps and not only are you rewarded with a superb view but a cooling breeze that is very welcome on a hot day.

In percentage, my family and I spent 90% of the time viewing this faboulous church from the outside, experiencing the senate square and the location, and 10% of the time walking through the church. Most visitors have probably seen a lutherian-evangelic church before, and although they are beatuiful, the are pretty much alike. However, what makes this church worth a... More

With so many other wonderful cathedrals to see in other cities this place is nothing special. Better offer going to visit the Rock Church which is at least unique.

You can see this venue from sea!!! It's very central and a must do. There are a few steps to climbs but do it. Free to enter I liked the unicorn high on the wall. When we were there at 1100 it was not busy at all.

Beautiful and worth a visit. A nice view of the city from the top of the steps. I was surprised at the ornate art work considering it is a Lutheran church spit was a special sight to see.
