Dazzling white church rises above this beautiful square. Several fine buildings in the same style surround it. Central point of Helsinki.

In front of the Helsinki Cathedral you find this square, and you can get some good pictures of the cathedral. In the square there is a monument also and nice flower arrangement. This is also a good spot to start a trip with the hop...More

Senate Square is one of the landmarks in Helsinki, it connects with the Market Square and the major shopping streets, you could not possibly miss it when you are in Helsinki.

Enjoyable in the sun but there is not much to look at except going up for the cathedral. It is not crowded in August so ot was enjoyable being around

Try to choose a sunny day, and the view of white cathedral with blue sky around will make your pictures amazing.

This is the main city square originally built by the Russians when they ruled. Several major buildings present around the square also close to harbour, market and shops.

It was built during the Russian rule as a tribute to Czar Nicholas. If you have time its a place that one must visit while in Helsinki.

Wonderful cathedral, steep steps, good restaurants and a statue of a Tsar, plus excellent tram connections to the rest of the city. Well worth a visit.

if you've missed this square, you've missed Helsinki. It's the center, the heart of the city. Don't miss it!

I was able to get a 360 degree panorama photo of tour busses completely encircling the square. Apart from the occasional photo op, I'm not quite sure what's there.
