Dazzling white church rises above this beautiful square. Several fine buildings in the same style surround it. Central point of Helsinki.

Senate Square is one of the landmarks in Helsinki, it connects with the Market Square and the major shopping streets, you could not possibly miss it when you are in Helsinki.
It was built during the Russian rule as a tribute to Czar Nicholas. If you have time its a place that one must visit while in Helsinki.
Wonderful cathedral, steep steps, good restaurants and a statue of a Tsar, plus excellent tram connections to the rest of the city. Well worth a visit.
