We visited the square a couple of times when were were in town. I love the architecture as it looms above the street. Worth seeing.

This square is very "elegant" with the nice white cathedral building and the elegant stairs leading up to its gates. It is very big, clean and with many restaurants and cafes around. Beautiful!!!

We enjoyed this square, surrounded by churches, nice statues, close to market, university on one side, and other interesting buildings. Lots of people on the steps makes for a great atmosphere.

Senate Square is situated between the cathedral and the harbor, with roads with shopping and eating on all sides. the square itself has one statue in it, and that's pretty much it.

Home to the Christmas Market, the Lucia parade, and many other events throughout the year (including political protests!). This square also has the oldest building in Helsinki, Sederholm House as well as the Helsinki University Main building. Of course, you can't miss out the Helsinki...More

If you are visiting Helsinki on this side you must visit this beautiful place. Little bit crowded, but still was worth it. One of the not many Helsinki attractions where you don't have pay, yet you find an amazing place.
