Not much going on in this square (though we did visit in January). However, there are some cute restaurants nearby, and the view is pretty nice. Worth a stop.

I came by the Senate Square by accident. I had no idea this magnificent building was here. Its definitly worth a visit.

It was quite a surprise to tourist like us to find the Christmas Market here not open. It was in fact very dark and deserted. There was also no choir around to celebrate Christmas.

We were in Helsinki just before Xmas so we enjoyed the Xmas market with all the wooden chalets and tasted the famous Glögi (Mulled wine in Finland)

We were there at sunset on New Year's Day and the remains of the party from the night before were still visible. It's a lovely spot and worth a visit when you have some time in Helsinki.
