More interesting than I expected

This museum is in the center of Helsinki. Easy to go. I was amused and exited by the fine settings of animals. Really well realized. There is also a cafe and a museum shop.

My children want to go there every year, it's a small one compared to any towns, but it gives the children a good view of how things go, in a smaller scale. Recommend for family with children ab 3-> to show them how things develope

This is a little natural history museum, jam packed full of taxidermy. Free audio guides are available. The staff was very nice. My son and I enjoyed the first floor the most. The first floor deals with bones and skeletons. The rest of the floors are jam packed full of taxidermy. I realize this is a natural history museum, but... More

This was perfect for us. You can take a long walk and see e v e r y t h i n g there is and read all the desceiptions.... You CAN, but I am lazy and I loved it just as a walk thru experience. My kid made it a run-thru....:)

This is a really nice place to come to get some acquaintance with animals and nature around the world. The kids really enjoyed it and could very easily identify and talk about many of the animals we saw. The kids had this sort of quiz to fill out, but I think it would have been even better a motivator if... More

The museum was disappointing as unless you had an audio guide you couldn't tell what you were looking at. Nothing had English translation. Everything was in Finnish. The ticket office didn't suggest the audio guide so we had limited time and it was a disappointing experience.

The museum isn't that large but there's enough to see in the museum. The exhibitions are in a small area so it's easy to go with small children. Both of my kids have been visiting the museum from at least two or three times a year and it's still interesting to them. Also note that there is free access to... More

Broad selection of everything from dinosaurs to moss arts. The whole tour took us about an hour, and it was definitely worth the money! They also offer a student discount 😀

Great thing to do on a rainy day. Lots of animals and history to be seen, especially with children this is a must. Quite quick to go through, so just nice even with very little kids.
