A must see for any Alvar Aalto fan. The museum shows at length the architects' carreer and development. A bit too much text for my taste and it has relatively few objects. Nevertheless a good starting point if you want to tour Aalto's buildings in...More

It was nice to see the many designs he had, and you can see what a big influence he has had on skandinavian design in general. But the museum was quite small, and the filmoption was not working, so I left a little bit disappointed....More

The museum was ok. Half of the exhibition was only in Finnish and Swedish. Text in English in main expo written grey on a grey background in between Finnish text in white which made it annoying to read.

When you are in Jyväskylä you must visit this museum. You get quite a good understanding of all the things what Alvar Aalto did.

Rather small but wth decent exhibitions, good retroperspective of A. Aalto life and work. I highly recommend the cafe for lunch, good food for decent price. Since it was A.Aalto birthday museum treated visitors with free cake and coffee. Very lovely gesture!
