The museum is located in a beautiful moden building. There is collection of music instruments and a presentation of Sibelius life. Nice way to discover this famous Finish composer.

Licated just behind the cathedral, it us a concrete building most likely from the 70s. It is a wuirt place, dedicated to the eminent composer and hosting temporary exhibits like just now "conducting in Finland"

The museum is certainly interesting for those into classical music and Sibelius, though in all honesty the display is rather outdated and could do with modernisation. That said, the building itself is incredibly beautiful and everything from materials to furniture and display cases in the...More

A beautiful building offering a fascinating collection of musical instruments together with a rich and absorbing history of Sibelius' life and music. When not being used for concerts, the auditorium is used to play his music providing a musical backdrop to your visit. Really worthwhile.

A great little museum. There are occasional concerts in the evening. There was a lovely recording of Sibelius being played in the small concert hall which was open in the centre of the museum

We admired this fantastic place, designed by Woldemar Baeckman. It is one of the most original building of the 1960s in Finland. The Sibeliusmuseum has very well organized collection that connects life and music .

Loved the exhibit ! I had really had no idea of what to expect. The exhibit explained not just different instruments, but the chance also to play a harpsichord. Wonderful music played in the background. Head/Earphones were available to listen to even more music/compositions. The...More
