We came here to see Wäinö Aaltonen's famous statues before they go back to the Parliament House in Helsinki. This was really worth the visit. Also the kids really enjoyed because they were welcomed to draw with staff. Really recommend.

Yes, I've been living over 40 years in Turku and for the last 30 years I've been passing by this museum going to work. I've been telling myself over and over again that I should visit "WAM", but for some reason I have visited all other museums except this one in spite of the fact that I realize Väinö Aaltonen's... If you've ever thought of visiting the Wäinö Aaltonen Museum (or WAM), this is the time, since they're having an exhibition of the titular artist's statues and paintings. There is also a small and intimate Tom of Finland exhibition, which explores Tom's musical past. The building is quite interesting in itself for architecture lovers, and they should come and give... We just by coincidence visited this exhibition on art and culture and how these has been utilized in the political play among others on the scene of faith and religion! The examples this time was from Russia, with a lot of great art on display! We spent about two hours here and it was bearly enough! I do recommend to... More

Inspiring modern era building. Not sure about the art itself though when I was visiting it. Easy access location in the heart of the town.

I've visited this place many many times and it's always nice to go there, but not all exhibitions are obviously for everyone. There was an interesting photography exhibition in the upper floor that was concerning gay culture the last time I visited but I didn't exactly enjoy the main exhibition. This place is a very general type of museum. Not... More
