Found this place online and it became the must see place for our Akureyri stop. Totally worth the visit if you like quirky off the beaten path art museums. The owners have a strong sense of art and artistic display. Also the building and views...More

Nice visit among strange local pieces and local artists, really interesting! This museum is on the other side of the fjord, in front of Akureyri. You have a nice view. Around 10 15 minuts in car. You have to go, it's an intimate place and...More

Very interesting museum and very unusual. Privately owned with many peculiar art objects and placed in a excellent area overlooking the Fjord !

This is a collection of works by local artists. Much has been done by self-taught rustic artists. We had a good time here and felt it was worth the stop on the way out of town.

This exhibition is very special and might perhaps be called exceptional. On display are paintings, sculptures ect. that really give your thoughts a flight and even get you wondering about tne artists.

Really not with stopping I'm afraid - a very small collection of fair uninspiring stuff. Nice free coffee though and the curator was very helpful and friendly.

Interesting museum if only for the architecture and the immense book collection. Staff very laid back and you could easily spend many hours here settled on here sofas reading their huge collection of glossy books about art, life and everything else in between. I'm glad...More
