Absolute awesome trip to Lofthelli ice cave today. The trip to the cave is beautiful in itself. Ending with an extremly nice cave exploration. The cave is filled with stalagtites en stalagmites made out of ice. Börkjur our guide was very professional and a lot of fun. I would highly recomend this trip.

We had an amazing trip to Iceland. We spent about 4 days in North Iceland. Our first full day in Akureyri we had arranged a Culinary Tour through Saga. Since this is slow period for travel in north Iceland, we lucked out and our tour wound up being a private tour. Our guide, Gisli, was absolutely incredible! He's very entertaining,... More

We booked this tour at the last minute and it was one of the highlights of our visit. We were a small group travelling in a very comfortable mini bus. Our guide Bjorn was very professional and helpful. He suggested visits to extra places as we were a small group, which added to the overall experience very much. We would... More

We had two tours booked with Saga travel for our short stay in Akureyri, a northern lights tour and a trip to Lake Myvatyn and surrounding attractions with northern lights. First tour was cancelled due to weather. We were contacted by the operator just after 5pm and informed, so able to change evening plans accordingly and they refunded us via... More

Just come back from the trip and it was AMAZING! Really beautifull cave with stunning sorroundings, you will be able to visit the lava field and some volcano crateers. Plus (but most important) the driver was absolutely PERFECT, good driving skills and good knowledge, he explains us alot and he also made a few nice jokes about nordic folklore. I... More

Me and my friend had a really good time on the Dettifoss Superjeep Tour from Saga Travel a few days ago. First we stopped at Goðafoss, a very beautiful waterfall, to watch the sunrise. It was magic. Then we drove on to Dettifoss, Europe's most powerful waterfall. The road was pretty icy but the driver very experienced and careful. I... More

I recently went on a few excursions with Saga Travel. I really enjoyed the experience and I highly recommend them. They are professional and the guides know their stuff and are very personable. I first went on the Dettifoss Waterfall Super Jeep tour. Our guide's name was Ingemar and he was very informative about the area and about Iceland. At... More

They shown us the northern lights. It was raining heavily on that day. But the guide Mr Kiss took us to a nice location and we waited there. After a long time finally it was change in weather. We got a moonlit night. And finally saw northern lights. It was great. Pick up and so was the drop.

We went on 2 tours with Símon and both times were fantastic, very informative and fun. First tour was a Northern lights tour from Reykjavik and the second was the South Shore tour. The style of 'slow travel' is great and really makes it seem like you are travelling with friends at your own pace. The things we learnt and... More

I went on a day trip to Siglufjörður with Saga tours. It was really great! The guide showed us some villages and gave us answers to all our questions. The view along the road was magnificent. In Siglufjörður there's a herring museum. Normally i'm not into museum stuff, but this one I liked. The museum has all the real stuff... More
