You view the falls from a walk way across the river. It is an easy walk and beautiful views. Walk to the bridge - the best pictures and views. If you are in the area - fantastic. Wouldn't say it was worth a visit if you had to drive an hour out of the way. The blue glacier water was... More

There were not many signs leading up to this waterfall. Definitely something to GPS. I loved this waterfall. It was different and a drive to get here. There is also another waterfall next to it, so check that one out as well!

This place was stunning. The way the water pours out of an underground river through the valley into the glacial river is gorgeous and the short but menacing falls the main river takes through the rivine is breathtaking. Worth a visit if you have time to head north of Reykjavik on one of your days.

Very impressive and beautiful view. We were there on snowy day making everthing even more beautiful. We could stay and meditate for hours if we weren't schedules for another excursion.

I think this is my favourite waterfall I been to. Parts of the river were frozen resulting in an accessible small waterfall to have some fun and enjoy. The waterfall it's self was glorious but admittedly not as glorious as the big ones in the south we went to. Well worth a stop especially if you are around.

There was something about these falls that was just entrancing. We really just stumbled on these falls on the way to our In the Glacier tour. The falls are not tall but they stretch out for several hundred yards and are fed by a fast moving stream that winds its way through steep sided rocks. If you're near here I... More

How often does one get to see a sideways waterfall? Coming through the lava fields, the water plunges into the side of the river. Of course, there is a regular waterfall as well, which is surprisingly powerful in the winter for such a relatively small river. Well worth a quick side trip!

These falls are difficult to describe - but absolutely amazing! Wonderful picture opportunities. Bring warm clothes - the wind and the glacial waters can be brutal.

This tucked away jewel is such a pretty area. For one, there were only a handful of people and views are breathtaking.

We came across this on route back from the lava cave, and were amazed by it to be honest. Never seen so many falls in one location. Easy to get to with many viewing platforms so that you can appreciate it fully. They're in the middle of building a shop so hopefully during 2017 you'll be able to stop longer... More
