We weren't originally planning on doing a whale watching tour, but changed or minds when we passed through Husavik. We took the 1pm small boat tour on sep 15th and had an amazing time. We were lucky in that we saw 3 different humpback whales...More

Gentle Giants kept coming up in my research for whale watching in Iceland. They were not wrong! I made reservations online (fills up fast in high season) and opted to pay when I got there. The desk in the office were staffed by very professional,...More

A whale trip is hit or miss depending on the whales. Our day was cold and rainy so there were not many whales. We saw some whale backs and a few small tails but no whales breaching. We have seen full breaching before so this...More

This whale watching costs more than other company, but it is worth every penny. First of all, you are pretty much guaranteed to see whales. Second given the size and agility of the boat, you are going to get to the whales really fast and...More

Amazing afternoon, I was expecting to see maybe one or two whales from a distance, what we got was far beyond my expectations, so many whales in the area that day, so close that we were able to see much of the detail of these...More

The Gentle Giants tour was on rib boats which were fast and manoeuvrable giving us the best opportunity to get up close to any whales we spotted before they dived down to feed. We were fitted out with special outer clothing to protect us from...More

What a great experience. The Rib Boat tour is the only way to do this well due to the boats speed and agility. Well worth the cost. Miro was an outstanding guide. Very knowledgeable. He appears to be a biologist and did an amazing job...More

Great experience. We opted for the GG2 Big Whale Safari & Puffins. The more expensive option but it was worth it. We had our zodiac which was more mobile to get to the whales. And we saw whales ... Lots of them. We even saw...More

Hello Gioske, I'm sorry but we took the tour on August 20th, therefore we weren't together. We were offered an alcoholic drink made of local herbs. Very good!
