Overview
More
Elding is a tour supplier in Reykjavik offering whale watching and other adventures at sea all year round. We are conveniently located just off Reykjavik's old harbor. The various types of whales commonly sighted include minke whales, white-beaked dolphins, harbor porpoises and the popular humpback whales. We will be accompanied by sea birds such as gannets, puffins, guillemots, cormorants, gulls, kittiwakes, arctic terns, and many more. Check our online Whale Diary for daily updates on whale sightings. To make our tours even more comfortable, we provide our passengers with warm (and floatable) overalls and raincoats. For safety reasons, all children under 12 years of age are required to wear life jackets during the tour.

The trip was really good and we enjoyed learning stuff about Reykjavik. The whale sightings were cool but not very easy to see. I think a whale tour up north might have been better.

We had a wonderful afternoon. We saw plenty of whales and other wildlife. Great informative commentary and sea sickness pills were included. Take them, trust me! Haha.

Really enjoyed this trip on a very well equipped vessel. Comfortable, warm and they seemed to know where to go to get the best chance of sightings

We went whale watching with an open view that we might not see one but we were so excited when we did. We saw a mink whale. It came close to the boat and we saw it a few times. There was also lots of...More

This tour is a COMPLETE hoax! The boat is extremely cold inside - the heating inside does not work. It is very obvious that the northern lights is a miss as when the guide talks she makes no reference to when they were viewed on...More

Dear MeeraJag, We are very sorry to hear that this was your take on an otherwise quite fruitful tour (over 80% success rate so far this season). The lights, as you may have come to find out by now, are a natural phenomena and we...More

You are in the middle of the ocean, off the coast of Iceland, on a boat with lovely staff, watching whales (we saw a humpback, a minke and 4-5 dolphins). What else could you want? :) Perfect! Even if you don't spot any cetaceans, this...More

Dear Ceyda Y, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience. We are delighted to hear you had such a marvellous time with us spotting 3/4 most common cetacea in Faxaflói bay! All the best, The Elding Reykjavík team

Although we only got to see one breaching Minke Whale (which was incredible) at the end of our tour we had an amazing time! It was nice to go out on a boat to see a different angle of Reykjavik and also exciting being on...More
