I know that everything in Reykjavik is expensive but given the size of the city this tour is not worth the price.

I have taken this tour on the first day of both of my trips to Reykjavik (took my dad this year). You get a good tour of the city, letting you see the main sights and getting an idea of where things are. We stopped at Hallgrimskirkja, Perlan, Harpa, and drove around the city to the marina, Hofdi, and old... More

Having arrived at 1.30am due to a flight delay of epic proportions, I decided to take this tour on the first day of my stay. It wasn't originally something I was planning, but I didn't get up early enough to book on one of the day tours. Ahem. Anyway. The tour touches base at most of the attractions in the... More

We booked this trip for the first time that we arrived to Reykjavik. My main reasoning was to take a tour to show us around and let us know the main spots to visit. In addition, we were hoping that the tour would take us to certain places (Hallgrímskirkja, Harpa, Perlan, Old Harbour) so that we wouldn't have to visit... More

My goodness , we saw geysers, powerful waterfalls, fantastic small horses , friendly helpful people who spoke English and Icelandic which is a strange looking and sounding combination of letters. The guide was knowledgeable about his country, and his surroundings. Reykjavik is a modern city with trees and parks contrasting to much of the volcanic lava fields and . mountains.

Started off good but at the last stop the tour guide left us stranded. We were told to be back at 2:45. We got back at 2:44 and the bus was no where to be seen. We had to walk almost 3 miles back to the hotel, in the snow and slush covered side walks and very windy conditions.

Dear traveler, Sorry to read about your Reykjavík Grand Excursion experience with us. I would like to investigate this as the bus should not leave without having all passengers onboard. Kindly send me an e-mail to feedback@re.is and inform me which day you were on this tour. Despite this I do hope that you had an overall enjoyable time in... More

We took this tour on our first day in the city. It was an efficient way to familiarize ourselves with the layout of the city and see many of the landmarks which don't require a lot of time to appreciate. There were definitely some stops I could have done without, but I still must recommend the tour due to the... More

This was about a 3 hour driven tour of Reykjavik. Very comprehensive and informative, but a little dry. My brother and I took turns napping, but that might have been the stuffiness of the coach, which was huge and comfy (too comfy). The brief trips out of the bus - to the Hallsgrimkirka church, Perla for the panoramic view (we... More

The tour guides are knowledgable and funny. They answered my questions about Icelandic society, politics and traditions. From dating habits to the "unseen people," the guides really were insightful and very interesting.

We took this tour because it was a rainy afternoon on our first day in the city. It was a good way to see (as in drive by) a lot. We did get out a handful of times, but most of the time was spent driving by sites. Our guide was informative, but as a whole the tour was quite... More
