My family had 3 tours with Jon last week: Golden Circle, Northern lights and the Snaefellsnes Peninsula. Each was just what we had hoped for! Jon is so passionate about his country, and highly informative. But I think it is the way he shares this information that makes him sought after. His friendly banter, story telling, knowledge of out of... More

We were only 7 people on Jon's tour which gave us the private tour feeling. So much knowledge was shared in an entertaining way. Jon never stayed behind but always walked with us to make sure we had the full experience of every site. Jon even brought his own camera to take pictures for us on the Northern Lights tour... More

We are so glad that we booked these tours with Jon whose knowledge gives you a wonderful understanding of how the northern lights are formed, and an insight to Iceland's way of life as well as the history. Being in a small group made the tour more intimate and humorous. I use to work in the travel industry and have... More

A group of 9 of us went on a 7 day private tour with Jon Frosti during the Christmas holidays, and we were glad that we have chosen Solstice tours over the big tour companies. We went around the island (except the West Fjords) in 7 days in Jon's 14 seater van which was spacious, clean and well-equipped. Although there... More

My family spent a day and a half in Iceland. We decided to book the Northern Lights tour and Golden Circle Tour with John from Solstice Tours. John was the perfect tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and personable. Our experience with Solstice Tours definitely exceeded our expectations. We couldn't have been happier!

We were a group of 12 off a cruise ship. Bogi met us with a beautiful, comfortable vehicle. He was one of the most knowledgeable tour guides we have ever had. His love for his country, her history and beauty was obvious. He went out of his way to provide an interesting, fun tour and included a short (because of... More

A group of us on a cruise ship booked a tour months ahead with Jon of Solstice Tours. He picked us up and gave us a full, full day touring not only the Golden Circle Tour but around Reykjavik (including tasting tomatoes grown hydroponically in a greenhouse). The vehicle was nice and clean (and with free WIFI) Jon was easily... More

We spent a delightful day tour with Jon touring Rejkanes, the Golden Circle and some highlights of Reykjavik. We had a very tight schedule during our trip and as the oprganizer, I was quite worried that we won't be able to go on a tour on our day of arrival in Iceland. Getting Jon on a private tour was the... More

We had two great days touring with Jon. (Family of 5, 3 kids.) We went on the Aqua Sapphire tour and also visited the Snaefelsness Peninsula. Although we booked a group tour it was really more of a private experience - there was only one other couple with us for the Aqua Sapphire day, and we were alone for Snafelsness.... More

I had the chance to go with some of the big tour companies (the normal ones you read about all the time when in Iceland), but Solstice Tours is by far the best. Jon, the owner and driver, is like that uncle you just want to be around -- he knows everything about Iceland (including folklore), he goes to see... More
