This was a wonderful experience. The tour started a bit late, but this actually worked out in our favor because the Northern Lights started around 10:30 and we would have missed them by 30 minutes if we'd started on time. Our tour guide was very generous and knowledgeable about the Northern Lights and selected great and private locations to view... More

We went on the South Coast tour which was the hi light for me as we went with Georg (who was great), he took us right up to the Glacier Gigjokull which runs from Eyjafjallajokull (the volcano of 2010 fame). We were taken right up to the glacier, it was incredible. The whole tour was great and to go in... More

Our first 2 tours booked were cancelled due to cloud cover and low visibility. However discover Iceland emailed us with plenty of notice and booked us on to the tour the following night (at no added cost) both times. On the third night, we were extremely lucky on our tour and saw a fantastic show of the northern lights. While... More

Our guide, Ragnar, was extremely nice and knowledgeable. He was very down to earth and willing to help out with our camera to capture the best shots possible. We drove as far as we had to on the island, hitting multiple spots, to find the spot where we were lucky enough to see the northern lights. The private jeep with... More

I went out with Steinar and a small group. Our original date had been cancelled due to weather and I learned, trips had been cancelled for the four nights preceding. February was especially mild and cloudy, making for poor visibility and low activity. Even the night we went, others warned us the activity would likely be low. While you can... More

My daughter and I visited Iceland in mid-February 2017. It turned out that our visit was during the warmest February on record. Thus, George, our guide with Discover Iceland, was able to take us all over the South Coast. He was cordial, good-humored, informative and worked very hard to get us to all the sites along the South Coast. The... More

Tour with Svein was successful. After faintly seeing the lights at a meeting point where a bunch of tour companies gathered, Svein took us to a remote place where we hit jackpot. We enjoyed the dancing northern lights for about 15 mins. Small group minibus tours such as this are better than the big tour bus companies we felt if... More

We booked our disco tour for the first night we arrived (we stayed for 6 nights). Due to unfavorable weather conditions, we didn't end up going out until our very last night. Our guide, Gummi, was super knowledgeable about the lights, where to find them, and even how to best capture them on your cameras. He helped us all adjust... More

We had a fantastic time with Discover Island - while the cost is considerably higher than that of a bus tour, it's absolutely worth the money. We gott a tour guide (we had Gummi / Gummy) to share between four people (two couples, in our trip), which means that we could ask all the questions we wanted, and have a... More

My girlfriend and myself did the Golden Circle Tour on Monday 13th Feb 2017, and it was the best day we had during the 4 nights we spend in Iceland. The Tour Guides: We had 2 tour guides on the day, Gummi & Arni (who was in training), and both were excellent tour guides - both really friendly, very funny,... More
