We were very disappointed to find this closed on a Monday. However, so glad we walked behind the building to view the sculpture gardens. One was more amazing then the last. A must see.

It is easy to miss this amazing attraction right next to the Hallgrimskirkja. The sculpture garden is small but quiet and filled with amazing works by Einar Jonsson. Stroll around and contemplate the works. Not to be missed.

I did not go into the museum, but I did stroll through the free sculpture garden which had some amazing works. They all shared this often strange combination of norse (pagan) and christian symbolism, which underlies a lot of Icelandic art. Be sure to look...More

Beautiful sculpture set in a lovely park that is amazingly quiet considering how close it is to the road that passes down the front of the city. Lovely view of the front and sadly the roadworks outside Harpa currently. It is still a lovely place...More

Excellent sculpture museum and preserved artist's apartment on the top floor. Nice sculpture garden. Easy to find and centrally located. About an hour to see.
