I've traveled a lot, and this is one of the most amazing tours I've done. The hike up to the volcano is fun and informative. The guides are very friendly and knowledgeable. If you like lamb, the stew at the top is excellent. The descent into the volcano is amazing. Once on the ground, you feel like you are in... More

I went in 2016 with my sister. The helicopter ride, the warming station, the decent, the time in the volcano, the soup (oh the lamb soup) and the flight back were incredibly memorable. I highly recommend it!

I had been looking forward to this expedition for months. It was my big splurge for my 2 week trip to Iceland. I was not disappointed. The trip was everything advertised and more. As a geologist it was a thrill to go into the vent of a volcano. But the surprise highlight was the beautifully told and sung interpretation of... More

This was expensive, but worth it. There are many free attractions in Iceland, do those first, but if you have some extra time (and money) I highly recommend doing this. Once in a life time opportunity.

The trek in and out is a great hike, but the real treat lies inside. A truly stunning and fascinating experience well wotrth the price. The guidea are terrific. Take snacks as the lunch (soup and bread) might be a bit lite for some.

We did the trip during a storm, hardly any view and driving rain. The inside of the volcano could not have been a greater difference. A definite "must do". Well taken care of, security was great. In spite of the conditions, we felt safe. Friendly and knowledgeable guides. A phantasmic adventure, never to be forgotten.

This trip includes a walk up to the mouth of the volcano, i wouldnt be put off if the weather is bad, its actually quite fun that way. The lift down into the vocano is lovely, i would not say the rock is totally amazing in colour but rather it is very pretty and overall i would highly recommend this... More

If your goal is to visit some of the world's great natural sites, put Iceland's Inside the Volcano on the list. It definitely ranks up there with climbing Kilimanjaro, trekking Nepal's Annapurna Mountains, visiting Burundi's Mountain Gorilla's, Zimbabwe's Victoria Falls, India's Taj Mahal, Peru's Machu Picchu, Cambodia's Ankor Wat and Brazil's Iguassu Falls

As it was almost a year since I visited, I can't recall all the deets. However, I thoroughly enjoyed this excursion. The guides were friendly, knowledgeable and overall created an enjoyable and informative experience. I can't quite put into words the thrill of being inside the volcano; one must just go! At the end of this tour it was the... More

This was just amazing. how often can you say you went inside a volcano. I think this is a must for anyone visiting Iceland. The staff is very friendly and make the hike to the volcano very enjoyable, sharing stories and lore of Iceland. When you get to the volcano, you must wait in the lodge as only a limited... More
