A geocache brought us to this park and I'm glad it did so peaceful, love the little bridges! I bet this place is great in the summer months. Well worth a visit if you have time.

A really nice park area. Great for sports and walks. Very soothing. Nice to incorporate into a larger cycling tour weather permitting.

We went as part of a tour and I would recommend it. It is a beautiful place and the landscape is incredible. Being here is like visiting another planet!

The old washing pools (Þvottalaugarnar) are where clothes were washed. There's some boards that explain the history. As it's a bit off the normal tourist track we had it to ourselves and it is well worth the visit

the icelandic football stadium , the ice rink , handball arena , a farm park /zoo and the swimming pool worth a visit within a miles walking distance of the hotel cabin

We spent a lovely hour wandering around the botanical gardens as a respite from the hustle and bustle of tourist-engorged Reykjavik. There were many flowers blooming, the gardens are well laid out, and the parking was free. If you need a break from the crowds,...More

I walked round the park and botanical gardens with my husband on a glorious sunny day. It was lovely. The hidden gem here is definitely the Flora Cafe - gorgeous food in a serenely calm setting. And always vegan soup! Also, for Reykjavik, not expensive.

In the land of expensive everything, even public bathrooms, this is one place you can just walk in and enjoy all the beauty around you. Lots of runners and family with children and strollers here. It's a big garden with a lake. There are paths...More

Do not miss a visit to this park with or without children. It is great and possibly unexpected as it is in the middle of Reykjavik.

I think that prices are very reasonable. I have heard that it was much more expensive in past times.
