Beautiful red color aside, the chief attraction of this beach is: sand!! So many of the beaches are rocky, or really just jumping-off points to get in the water. If you like to lie comfortably on the sand and relax, this is the place to...More

Lovely sandy beach (but rocks and pebbles in the sea so beach shoes recommended) but it is VERY busy all of the time! Need to hire a parasol for some shade. Highly recommend the beach bars/cafes for a drink as the prices are very reasonable.

Although a fairly small beach , has facilities for eating and toilets, has life guards present all the time , clear seas , not too crowded.

It's hard to beat Ramla beach for swimming. The chairs and umbrellas are relatively expensive at $5 each but it's worth it. Thee sand is beautiful. The water is amazing. Enter the water from the left end of the beach (facing the ocean) and there...More

Hadn't been for a while, but I must say that this beach is still amazing. Not full of deckchairs and I hope it will remain like that. Love it!

Beach is very beautiful, with red sand, clean and organized. The water is clean and great both for swimming and fun for the kids. On the beach there are few restaurants with nice and affordable offer.

This is a good sand beach to spend with children. The beach is clean and it doesn't get deep too fast. This is the most popular beach in Gozo and it can be quite crowded on sunny days. You can rent umbrellas and deck chairs...More

It really does have reddish sand! A nice size beach, relaxed and loungers and umbrellas are NOT squashed up all in lines (my pet hate) you can spread out a bit and makes for a much better environment. The water is very warm and shallow...More

Even if it is the only one. Lovely sand, calm waters, beautiful sheltered bay. We had many days of fun here.

As the only 'real' beach on Gozo Ramla bay can get crowded but it has good clean facilities with cafes, sunbeds for hire and a life-guard service

Not directly. All buses run through the city of Victoria (Rabat), so you would need to get a bus from Mgarr (Imgarr) to Victoria and then a bus from there to Ramla. It doesn't take long though, what with the Island being so... More

I have not heard of the wall ... Ramla Bay is located at the bottom of a rich and fertile valley on the northern side of the island of Gozo. The village of Xagħra, located on one of the hills of Gozo The beach is quite wide... More
