St James' Cavalier Center for Creativity is a place worth visiting. Remember that in 2018 Valletta is the European capital of culture.

The building is very attractive and has a combination of theatre, film and art plus cafe. Nice place to chill and escape the exterior bustle (especially in Carnival time!)

My husband saw a listing in the monthly guide for Valletta events and was interested by a scheduled performance of, "The Mediterranean Dimension": a collaboration between Maltese and Egyptian musicians. It was an amazing concert, and I felt fortunate to have been able to experience...More

The concealed tunnel entrance is intriguing but first impressions are false, inside are soulless rooms with pretentious twaddle photo art, junk and 'installations' that are just depressing if this is all the creativity Malta can muster. Do yourself a favour don't go.

When we visited Malta in Feb-March 2017, St James' Cavalier Centre seemed to be the only place where we could see contemporary art. The building is actually rather hidden in the city walls - plus we didn't see any posters anywhere, so if we hadn't...More

We went here with the expectation of enjoying the art... what a shame that the building outshines the exhibits! If this is a centre for creativity then the future is bleak. The art work on display was on the theme of "We lost the war"....More

Hidden in the will of Valletta, the centre is a group of rooms to explore , showing exhibitions and providing creative space for its people. We went to the cinema there , where they show a wide variety of films that likely don't get large...More
