A nice compliment to the Malta Experience

For some strange reason, this part of the historic hospital is not included in the ticket for the Malta Experience. However, the 5 euros it costs are worth the visit. It gives you... read more

we went with a guide from the Malta Experience (chose only the infirmary) who showed us the two huge wards for the infirmary, the great hall that used to be the garden. She was well informed. HOWEVER she indicated an area where there was stuff but she couldn't take us. When we asked at the Infirmary desk itself they said... More

We had read the reviews and brochures about this museum. It sounded of interest to us but we had no idea what we would actually see, hear and view. This is a very detailed and well developed exhibit. The life size figures in their uniforms and in action were well made up. The smaller encased exhibits were so well detailed... More

We were lucky in that we had a marvellous guide who had the whole group hanging on her every word. The description of the care of the sick (males only) from the richest to the poorest was explained in such detail and with the building still showing the evidence you could easily imagine what it was like. Well worth the... More

Worth a visit and not expensive to enter, it’s located at the foot of Valletta in the same building as the Mediterranean Conference Centre and easy to find. It describes the history of the Knights Hospitallers during the medieval period in Malta. It’s well laid out with succinct descriptions of the exhibits and very atmospheric as you walk through The... This is a very good guided tour and well worth a visit. The buildings have been rebuilt since the WW2 destruction, but much of the original hospital still exists.

We did this on a combined ticket with the Malta Experience. The guide was informative and very interesting. It gives a fascinating insight into the the original use of this building- you need to use your imagination!

We attended an evening concert here, and so got to appreciate the building. Very atmospheric -- felt as if there were still knights inside the suits of armor. The concert was good too!

For some strange reason, this part of the historic hospital is not included in the ticket for the Malta Experience. However, the 5 euros it costs are worth the visit. It gives you a short but good overview of the rules of the Hospital, the occupation by the French and the lower floors of the building.
