I found it an interesting part of history of Malta. Long time ago convent grand masters decided to set up a hospital for knights. The Knights Hospitallers is located within the historical Medirerranean Conference Centre.

We spent a very interesting and informative time in here. Well worth a visit. There are plenty of information boards to read and some superb models. We left feeling a lot more knowledgeable about the Knights Hospitaliers and how they did things.

Underneath the banqueting centre is the underground tunnels telling their story. At 5 euros this is a great way to spend an hour.

There are two aspects to this.Firstly the actual exhibition.Lots of descriptive panels and wax models. Then there are the tunnels which are quite claustrophobic.Yes its cheap but there really isn't much here that you couldn't find on the internet.

This building is well worth a visit - do make sure you take the guided tour. Architecture is interesting as is the description of the use through the years. This was unexpectedly good.
