For two return €10.60 Beautiful views at top of Vianden town & castle. Restaurant at top with plenty of seating. Loos are a bit to be desired €0.50 each throw in a dish then walk around to open toilets a bit drafty to say the...More

We have spent a few hours in Vianden, but it was enough to visit most of the attractions. The classical tour is to take the chairlift, walk to the castle, then walk down back to the centre. The chairlift starts next to the Hot Stone...More

This chairlift rises over the river to the top of the valley. It is easily found and is very reasonably priced. Two seater open pods allow you to enjoy some marvellous scenery. An eating opportunity is available at the top or bottom (better).

The chairlift is a quick 11 minute ride up the hill, finishing above the Chateau. We rode up and then walked down to the castle. The walk may be difficult for some older folks as there are places where the footing is not the best....More

If your in Vianden then for sure go on the chairlift. It does go quite high to to the castle. Very strange looking down on people's gardens

We opted for the one way trip up on the chairlift hoping to find our way to Vianden Castle. There is a cafe and facilities at the top. We followed a marked route steeply 400 metres downhill to the castle. If you had the time...More

The ages ranged from 11 to 84 and the chairlift is safe, restful and a lot of fun. We were here last year and had a great time with no change this year.

The chairlift itself is pretty cool and you arrive at the top where you can see the whole view. We took the chairlift because it was about 35C that day and way to warm to climb up. Up there, there is a very nice view...More

We took two 3 year old boys up the lift, had lunch and then hiked to the castle. We hiked back to the chairlift and rode it down. Kids did great until about 1/3 of the way up, when we had to carry them on...More

Nice to do, nothing special if you have been in Alpes or Hong Kong. Add to your trip if you plan to go the castle. Do note that the path to the castle is not suitable for people with walking difficulties.

I didn't see people with babies but smaller kids. Walking to the top is also very short, pleasant, scenic and easy that you can definitely do carrying a baby.
