This town is so quaint and picturesque with the beautiful castle at the top of the hill. We really enjoyed the tour, views and history. I would recommend the audio tour.

From Luxembourg City, take a train to Ettelbruck, and then jump on the 570 bus ( the bus station is next to the train station ). Vianden is the second to last stop on the route - ask the driver if unsure. The whole journey... More

I think 2h is enough, including 20mn for a coffee inside. You won't spend more than 3h there in any case.

Yes, it's open from 10 am until 4 pm, and is definitely worth a visit.
