A very nice town, very quiet and with the great view of the castle on top of it, Vianden is for me the top visit to do in Luxembourg.

A visit to this chateau is a must. It is possible to do it in a day trip from Luxembourg city but best to spend a night at one of the hotels. Stay in a hotel beside the river as the hotels on the approach...More

A short walk on cobblestone streets through town up to the Chateau. Beautiful little town, and the view from the top is breath taking. Interesting history, architecture, and restoration.

The castle itself has been basically rebuilt since the 1970's but that said, they have retained some of what looks to be the origional parts. The early stages of the castle are very interesting but later on you do seem to pass through room after...More

By far one of the most beautiful castles i've seen. And in my opinion the most beautiful in Luxemburg. Well organized, good audio guide, I would recommend!

Beautiful town and castle to visit for at least half a day. Sit by the river at the bottom of the hill and just take in the view.

I think 2h is enough, including 20mn for a coffee inside. You won't spend more than 3h there in any case.

Hi it's a steep climb to get to the doors and there are many steps to be negotiated in the castle but it's well worth a visit! I would leave the buggy at the paying desk on the way in. Hope this helps.
