The Karpaz peninsula was an addition to our RSD Travel Cultural Tour, and was available only on paying a substantial premium to the costs of the tour. We travelled from our Salamis Bay hotel northwards, through uninspiring countryside, softened by fields of beautiful wild spring flowers, until we came to the site of the restored St Andrews monastery. After viewing... More

Golden beach is beautiful, albeit sometimes scattered with litter in the busier parts. Food and drink is limited so I would suggest bringing your own food/bbq, however both Hasan and Hakan (the owners of the bungalows) provide fresh cooked, wholesome and decent quality food.

The place is gorgeous. But take tents and food for your accommodation. Or do not stay. Because hassan's turtle beach bungalows and other hotels are very opportunistic.

What do you need for a vacation? sea ? desert? jungle ? mountain ? You can have it all in absolutely wonderful golden beach with picturesque sceneries you can never imagined. I was there for just 3 days and I was deeply sad because of leaving there. Don't miss it. If you are in Cyprus, I strongly recommend you to... More

Set off early it's a 2.5-3 hour trip depending how far down the Peninsula you travel & how often you stop but reaching Golden Beach is worth it. The road trip seems quicker as the scenery is stunning. There are plenty of beaches, restaurants, cultural sights & towns such as Dipkarpaz to stop at but we admired the views as... More

Took my kids from the greek side for a day of fun. To long for little kids so unless you stay overnight not recomended. Lots of nice beaches but not interest enough and not to many attractions for kids. The donkeys where great but the church was closed. To summarise if you like desrted beaches go for it. Otherwise not... More
