Well worth a trip. Layers of Cypriot history with Christian and Roman remains on top of an earlier Pagan site. Round Pagan worshipping area not often seen in a Roman/Christian setting. €2.50. Toilets but no refreshments.

The Sanctuary of Apollo Hylates is just a bit further up the road from Kourion, but if you like archaeological sites, then it is well worth the extra 3k. There is a lot to see still on the site, including a well reconstructed part of the temple itself. The signs were informative and well written though, as is often the... More

The Sanctuary of Apollo is well worth a visit. It was our destination on our first day in Cyprus. We thoroughly enjoyed walking around the ruins. We also visited the Kourion Amphitheatre, which is an easy walk from the Sanctuary.

We visited on a sunny afternoon and were the only people on the site. It is amazing to see how much of the original buildings exist. A fascinating place to visit.

Brought my fiancee here and she enjoyed it tbh it's amazing when you realise the history and the way it's been preserved plus the facts knocking about the place it's €2.50 per ticket and it's close to the chariot /Olympic stadium they built

Really enjoyed our trip to the Sanctuary of Apollo. A guide is essential to get the best out of the place though as even though there are a good few panels in English explaining the site, it is a ruin so you need a good guide to properly get the place across to you so you can get the most... More

A few Kms up the road from Kurion is this site and for the few euros entry fee it's worth it, well preserved and maintained this is a lovely site of worship, all ruins now but you can get a sense of what it could have been, Between here and Kurion is the area where they would exercise and keep... sort of out of the way but worth a trip, entrance fee is acceptable and it helps maintain the sites on the island. You can visit everything in about half an hour so not a lot to see but again worth a stop.
