Dramatically situated beneath the Princes Palace on the cliff that is Monaco Ville, Fontvielle is a charming oasis after the noisy chaotic building site which is modern Monaco. There are around a dozen fairly unpretentious and reasonably priced (particularly at lunchtime) local restaurants and bars. The Harbor is sparkling with a sprinkling of super and not so super yachts.

I like this place since it's less tourists over here, and not so crowded as in the main port. Good choice of restaurants for lunch, and cafeteria for cup of espresso. Sometimes there are antique market, where you can buy some interesting elements for your home design.

This is a lovely place to walk and talk and to take in the beauty of such a place. We were on our honeymoon and this was ideal for us!

I suggest anyone goint to Monaco, to go see this port because it's really nice and has great views over some fantastic boats and you can see bottom/top the castle. Great also because you can live it a bit more thanks to less people around

Nice quite place for a walk followed with some good restaurants and garden behind the buildings. Not really an attraction cos it is just a port with couple nice boats(most old ones, not really nice to even see them as this is 'Monaco'). Architecture is almost like in most of luxurios marinas around the world. After all still far better... More

If you want to stay off the beaten path or eat in a restaurant that is somewhat off the beaten path in Monte Carlo, then consider Fontvieille.....quiet, tranquil, and very scenic, great place to stroll around, plenty of restaurants to chose from, but without the crowds. Lots of great photo opportunities, plenty of large yachts to gawk at.

A lot smaller than the main port however is great to see and is very peaceful. Near quite a few attractions like the car museum , and the small animal park . Overall a great experience

Stunning area. Lots to see luxury yachts and a helicopter around the corner. Great views of the sea here too.

If you want to get away from busy Monte Carlo the Port Fontvielle is just the place. The yachts are not quiet as big as the main port but pretty impressive anyway. You are just over the road from the Princes car collection which is well worth a visit. If you are saving for a slap up dinner and need... More

this is a small port, everything is small in monaco... it is good for a short walk along some middle size yachts. good restaurants in this area are beefbar, la salière, constantine. and there is a bar frequented by locals called 'gerards' owned by an austrian guy called... gerard. at the end of the port you can go and taste...
