Location and views from gardens are awesome. We climbed the steps from Monte Carlo. It not that difficult. In old town in front of the palace you can find souvenirs and food.

I thought the Prince's Palace was a little small inside and it did not take long to look around. This is to be expected, with Monaco being such a small country it's royal palace was unlikely to rival those in other major european capitals.

This was worth a quick visit. I'd recommend getting the audio guide, as it gives a nice amount of information. There is only a small portion of the palace open to visitors as the royal family still actually live and work there.

We went late in the afternoon, if I recall it was around 5pm in August. There was no line up at all, we walked right in and the palace was not crowded. Check for closing times. We spent about an hour and a half exploring the... More

Hi, it is a hop on and off train. The first station is at the front of the staircase of the aquarium. There is a sign there with the train timetable and its stops.
