Salzburg Dom's marble facade and twin symmetrical towers will definitely catch everybody's attention. The cathedral's interior is of rich baroque style and it's home to the beautiful 4,000-pipe organ. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was baptized in this church and guests can see the Romanesque font where he was baptized.

An imposing structure located in the heart of the old town. Most roads in the area will lead to the square in front of this place. A good place to visit to experience the grand architecture.

Salzburg Cathedral is a baroque one, but one surviving relic that predates the baroque edifice is the 14th century Gothic baptismal font where Mozart was baptized. It is worth to look closely at it because there are engraved biblical moments that are slowly fading away. It was also interesting to see the relics of Saint Rupert.

A beautiful, peaceful place for quiet contemplation. We were struck by the elaborate detail of the stonework and the wooden pews and the wealth of paintings. The cathedral boasts five organs which apparently are played all together on special occasions. During WW2 the cathedral was bombed by Allied Forces and the central dome was destroyed. However the damage was repaired... More

This impressive cathedral's foundations go back to the 700s. The ceilings are magnificent, with a well preserved interior and exterior. Make this a art of you Salzburg walking tour.
