EXPERIENCE HUNDERTWASSER UP CLOSE: Art - Achitecture - Nature - Vision Two intriguing museums experiences await the visitors at the KUNST HAUS WIEN. The Museum Hundertwasser presents the world's biggest collection of Austrian exceptional artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser (1928 -2000): his world famous paintings, fine art prints, tapestries and architectural designs. Here you can immerse yourself in his imaginative world of art inside and out - colorful walls and uneven floors in the interior, the artistic façade with tiles and color fields on the outside. "Tree tenants" grow from the windows, plants and flowers inhabit the rooftop and inner courtyard. In Vienna's first "green museum" one can sense Hundertwasser's visionary mind and experience his ecological engagement on site. Beyond that the KUNST HAUS WIEN is Vienna's premier house for photography exhibitions: changing exhibitions introduce the biggest names of photography to a wide audience.

This museum really is worth every penny - or should I say cent! Hundertwasser was an amazing artist and you can see how his style develops over the two floors devoted to his works. I loved the second floor for the vibrancy - the colours are just amazing. I am not really into modern art (the 21 Haus was really... More

Landmark in Vienna, worth a visit for architecture lovers. Also quite close to the Prater to combine the 2 attractions

What a great museum. Take the audio guide for 3 euros as it has a lot of important and relevant information for understanding the building, his art and philosophies. Service at ticket counter and cafe was rude.

Excellent choice for art and architecture lovers. Not as excellent of a choice for non-art and architecture people. Interesting stop, but not a must see unless art and architecture are first choices.

This highly graphic artist was definitely an odd ball but a delightful one at that. He certainly did things his way. The museum is well layed out and there are audio guides. Great shop. Not sure that there is disable access - this has to be checked out with the museum if applicable.

A great building from the outside and a great museum inside, an absolute must see, only a short stroll from the famous Hundertwasserhaus.

I really loved the place ... from the building facade to the water fountain inside ... it is really inspiring .... i left the museum with a big smile and many thoughts ..... If you have time spend 20 more minutes and watch the documentry about his life ... it plays in a small room on the second floor ....... More

Exceptional artist and architect--you need to spend time and see his works several times, walk around the city (like the incineration plant in Spittelau District). He was certainly a fe decades ahead of his time. Two other artists only compare to him: Antoni Gaudí (Catalunya) and Ödön Lechner (Hungary).

I had never heard of him but thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the museum. An amazing range of work throughout his life....appropriately displayed in this quirky building! The cafe was very good too.

Came before the museum was open, so only saw it from the outside. Lovely little garden, and the house has a fun and interesting design still. Worth a visit, just for the type of architecture
