Austria is well known worldwide for its glass and Lobmeyr is probably the most respected manufacturer with a history dating back to 1823. It´s located at Karntnerstrasse and it has 3 floors. On the 3rd floor you can find a small museum with wonderful glass pieces. On the 2nd floor you will mainly find porcelain from Austrian manufacturers . On... More

I went into this store to purchase a Meissen vase I had seen elsewhere. The store did not have the vase, but the staff looked for the vase in the Meissen catalogue and found it for me. They ordered it from the factory and when they got it, they shipped it to me in California. Mr Kastl and a young... More

After walking around a bit, we decided to purchase everyday dishes to be shipped back home to the USA. We were given excellent attention. After the sales person spent much time with us, we settled on a pattern and concluded the deal. The shipment arrived in absolute perfect condition; very well packed. Staying in Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
