The Leopold Museum has a great collection of Schiele. Also some Klimt. It has a good shop but over all is quite sterile.

What a beautiful area full of great museums. During December there is a Christmas fair with lots of good alcohol. All the building were covered with vibrant Video Art, and Live DJ music was playing. The trees were full of colorful lights.

This is more than a museum quarter. You can spend time in one of the cafes or on the nice day sit in the courtyard. If your visiting around Christmas, you can also have punch with your friends in MQ

I really love this place; A beautiful square between palaces and gardens, surrounded by museums, people coming in from every corner of the square, walking through or sitting in the cafes that face the museum entrances, picturesque shops, a square booming with life and energy!

Lovely little enclosed square off Museumplatz. Really eclectic mix of nice old buildings and ultra-modern - both great in their own way but odd mixed up together like that!

A few museums together - Leopold, Mumok etc. It is good to find an area where thsere is so much collected together. They are very interesting buildings all very well kept. Easily served by tram but all chargeable for entry.

If you are short on time this quarter offers access to several museums. The Leopold Museum was our first one and we highly recommend this as one off the top 3 to do.....there are way more museums to visit and we plan to come back...More

Tucked away near Hero Square, the MuseumsQuartier is very cool. During the holidays, it also offers a very unique Christmas market that is not as crowded as others. A neat place to just pass by and stroll around a while, away from much of the...More

This is a collection of museums / exhibit halls etc. devoted primarily to various forms of "modern art". If you are not into modern art, then this place is not for you.. but you may walk by for the buildings... Otherwise -- definite go in...More

Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries,
arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde
shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with
cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make
for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and
art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at
Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a
perfect hangout on a warm summer evening.

Yes! Free and beautiful. A fun place for a picnic. It would make sense to google if there is a Vienna card or some card that lowers the price of admissions. Some cities have that. I'm jealous you're going there. My absolute... More
