nearby is the cathedral, the palace, gardens as well as shops, cafes. You can feel much energy. THere is a metro stop here. If you need a fast food break--there is McDonalds. As you stroll there are monuments/sculptures and wonderful architecture.
This Square in front of St.Stephen's Cathedral is busy with tourists throughout the day. You can see many local tour operators in traditional dress selling their tours. You can take rides in horse carts from this Square.
you have all the big brands here, although i didn't notice that getting nice watches are particularly cheap here compared to other parts of Europe (like spain for fashion brands from other countries and switzerland for watches). the Vienna airport is not a particularly good...More
Located centrally, the plaza has various shops and restaurants around it and has many tourists enjoying its ambience. It should be on one's itinerary for a lively visit.
Worth a visit. It had an art Installation on view when we visited. A pretty interior with detailed architecture and in the midst of a great cafe and shopping area.
Beautiful square with St Stephen's Cathedral as its focal point. Always very busy with many restaurants and stores. At times, it felt too commercialized and touristy. But it is the main center of the city. We would not recommend for lunch or dinner but good...More
Stephansdom is a must visit every time I go to Vienna. I love to walk around the platz, find a seat in one of the sidewalk cafes and sip my coffee (or more often beer). Crowded on weekends, but not bad on weekdays. Easily accessible.
